This talk focuses on some semiotic aspects of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its unrivaled reception in China with special reference to the first Chinese translation by Y. R. Chao in 1922. Zongxin Feng is a Professor of Linguistics and English Language/Literature at Tsinghua University, Beijing. More information can be found here.
